Privacy Policy
We keep this short and plain. Here is what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to reach us about your data.
Last updated
This policy explains how Fritter Factory Innovation Labs Inc. (“Fritter Factory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit our website or get in touch with us. Fritter Factory is based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to run our site.
Information you give us
When you fill out our contact form, you share your name, your email address, an optional note about the kind of cofounder help you’re looking for, and a description of what you’re thinking about building. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit — such as the pages you view, the approximate region you’re visiting from, your browser and device type, and how you arrived at our site. We use this to understand what’s useful and to keep the site working. See our Cookie Policy for the details.
How we use your information
- To reply to your message and explore whether we’re a fit to work together.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website.
- To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We don’t share your information with third parties except with service providers who help us run the site and respond to you. Each only receives what it needs, and only to act on our behalf:
- Email delivery — we use Resend to deliver contact-form submissions to our inbox.
- Product analytics — we use PostHog and Fathom Analytics to understand site usage. Fathom is privacy-focused and does not use cookies.
- Hosting and infrastructure — providers that store and serve the website.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Fritter Factory, our visitors, or others.
Where your information is processed
Some of our service providers operate outside of Canada, including in the United States. When your information is processed in another country, it may be subject to the laws of that country. We take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected wherever it is handled.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above — for example, to continue a conversation you started — and then delete or anonymize it, unless we’re required to retain it longer.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that’s wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Withdraw consent or ask us to stop contacting you.
To make a request, email us at privacy@fritterfactory.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.
Children
Our website isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here, so it’s worth checking back.
